Colby Parsons Lecture

After listening to Colby Parsons speak in regard to his work, I can see his journey. He has combined two medias, one of digital and the other traditional. His work notably progresses. I enjoyed the work that he made in the beginning but I thoroughly enjoy the pieces that were shown in the PSU gallery. The creation of clay forms is amazing in itself but the way that he chose an entirely different media to mask the surface with is amazing. The way that the projection is interchangeable is something that is a new to myself. I enjoy how relatable all of his work is to our culture and how unique it is at the same time. Although i enjoy the piece created from a messy bedroom floor, my favorite piece that he introduced is Declivity #2. The way that the projection morphed the straight lines into ones that resembled a flowing liquid was breath taking.
