Endless possibilities...

Artfully Crafted. (Catchy and clever)

I really enjoy not only consuming blue moon, but also viewing thiee ads and branding! Their artsy flair appeals to myself and has proven to do the same to others as well. I love this new painterly quality and think it would be something new for me to work with this style as inspiration.  Here is the truck that caught my eye driving home this weekend. Here Is the commercial that I find so fun. http://video.search.yahoo.com/video/play;_ylt=A2KLqIPI7v5SsR8AzPb7w8QF;_ylu=X3oDMTByZWc0dGJtBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDdmlkBHZ0aWQDBGdwb3MDMQ--?p=new+blue+moon+commercial&vid=264e8ae93bc8b02a0d747b7bfdcc8fdd&l=00%3A32&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fts4.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DV.4582267518976011%26pid%3D15.1&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DudPTYrD4kko&tit=Brewmaster%26%2339%3Bs+Touch+%3A30+TV+Commercial&c=0&sigr=11an9sgcl&sigt=11847t2cl&pstcat=food+and+drink&age=0&fr=ipad&tt=b

Learning to Ink

Here are some recent pieces that I have completed. The exercise with the brushed have proven to be very useful due to the fact that I feel that I have already improved in skill since the beginning of the semester.

Those who INSPIRE

From what I have found artist of the name Kyle Lambert is very well known to say the least. Although I will not likely choose celebrities for my subsect I do admire his choice of style when using the iPad. Here are a few examples of work that I am fond of, and link to his website for many more. http://www.kylelambert.co.uk I found this aspiring artists' work very powerful. While it is not similar to my current style I could see myself working in this way to combine my subject matter of "why we are who we are" with the iPad media.

Why do I like to work on the iPad?

"Working digitally in layers makes it easy to isolate specific refinements while experimenting with new areas of the image and with overlay alternatives. The added power of blending the layers in a wide variety of ways provides endless options that are quick and easy. Apps features combined with layers enable artists to change scale, rotate, and warp parts of a drawing to easily fix what would be difficult or impossible to do in the traditional world. Special effects and advanced digital techniques provide options that are relatively quick to employ.  Apps can be combined in interesting ways as artists learn the benefits of using key art tools of various apps.  Once you’re familiar with digital techniques and tools, this approach is extremely fast compared to real paint (especially oils and layered or mixed media). Last but not least, digital is “non-destructive,” which means your original digital files are untouched, so  artists are free to experiment and explo...

How has your idea of your project changed since your group crit?

I do not believe that my project has changed much since our goup critique. I do fell that I have gained confidence in my aspires. Although I hope to continue gaining feebback along the way, speaking my inspiration and goals has brought forth a solid foundation for the beginning of my work for the semester.  According to "the best iPad apps for artist" I have three of the top rated tools needed. But the applications that i have found most helpful are...  All in all I hope to further my research on "what makes us who we are", by piecing together powerful images in relation to a certain audience or individual. I hope to include a portrait or human form by using the ipad. I plan to look at many tutorials and artist who work in this way, for tips. While I am taking a class devoted to drawing on the iPad, I hope to go above and beyond in this medium to create a somewhat unique piece of work. I do fear that my work will not standout among the rest. In t...
